Obituary of Albert Samuel Johnson Jr

Mr. Albert Samuel Johnson, Jr. age 75 a resident of Lakeland, Florida passed away Monday, January 2, 2023 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center surrounded by family. Mr. Johnson was born January 6, 1947 in Holopaw, Florida to Albert Samuel and Estelle (Gunn) Johnson, Sr. He was a lifetime Polk County resident and a United States Army Veteran serving during Vietnam (while in the Army his dog Ramo was with him). He was a retired Aluminum Installer and attended Auburndale schools. Albert enjoyed yardwork and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers – Richard, Alvin & Larry; 2 sisters – Katie & Nancy. Albert is survived by his loving family, wife – Debra Johnson of Lakeland; 3 sons – Mark Albert Johnson and Johnny Eugene Johnson both of Lakeland and Joseph Pointer; 1 beloved daughter Melissa Jacobs; brother – Henry (Linda) Johnson of Polk City; 7 sisters – Gertrude (Randy) Tillman of Auburndale, Margie Taylor of Auburndale, Lois Marler of Eagle Lake, Helen Russ of Winter Haven, Carolyn (Irving) Bryant of Lakeland, Janice Thomas of Auburndale and Barbara (Jack) Gill of Winter Haven; many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, January 20^th at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
