Obituary of Mary Elizabeth LaNuez

Mary Elizabeth Mays LaNuez was born on August 24, 1937 in Augusta, GA to Byrdie Lou McClendon Mays and Sam Mays. Mary passed away and reunited with our Lord on Thursday, October, 13, 2022 while at Lakeland Regional Medical Center following an unexpected accident. Growing up Mary enjoyed to participate in all kinds of dance. As an adult Mary enjoyed camping in the Smokey Mountains, boating on Lake Lanier, GA and vacationing at the beach with her family. In her middle years Mary enjoyed traveling with her husband Manuel LaNuez to many places. When Mary was home she enjoyed swimming in the neighborhood pool and participating in neighborhood activities. Mary was a Christian and she loved worshipping the Lord on Sundays at church especially singing the old hymns. Mary has three children Julie, Cheryl, and David. She also has seven grandchildren that she adored. Mary would love getting to see the grandchildren as often as she could. Mary is survived by her husband of almost 25 years Manuel Lanuez, Children- Julie Brunner Singletary, Cheryl Brunner Beckwith, and David Michael Brunner. Survivors also include her seven grandchildren Amanda Kathryn Singletary (Nick Tejada), Jessica Lynn Singletary( Vorada Chanthavong and Sky Chanthavong), Kaylee Brunner Baierl and husband Joshua, Alissa Brunner Waddell and husband Triston, Jared Brunner and wife Mikayla Thomason Brunner, Breanna Brunner, and Courtney Brunner. Mary LanNuez was loved by many family and friends and will be deeply missed. “We love you momma, grandma, and meemaw”. You will be in our hearts forever.
