Obituary of Roger Myron Jones

Mr. Roger Myron Jones, age 87 a resident of Mulberry, Florida passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Lakeland with his wife at his side. Mr. Jones was born April 26, 1935 in New London, Minnesota to Lloyd and May Marie (Galbraith) Jones. Roger and his wife were snowbirds since 2005 Minnesota to Florida. He retired after many years of service as a Sales Manager for Case Equipment Company. He was a United States Army Veteran serving with the 709th Tank Brigade. He was a member of Mount Olivet Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a 32nd Degree Mason and a life time member of The Shriner’s Arcadia Lodge. Roger enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; son – Bradley “Scott” Jones in 2018; 2 brothers- Kenneth & Wayne and 1 sister Eva. Roger is survived by his loving family, wife of 16 years – Kathy Turner Jones of Mulberry, Florida; 2 daughters – Heather (Jay) Struthers of Polk City, Florida and Kim (Bob) Fischer of Tonka Bay, Minnesota; son – Blake (Darcy) Taft of Moorhead, Minnesota; brother – Arlos Jones of New London, Minnesota; 6 grandchildren – Lil Jay, Brialle, Leland, Luke, Lindsey & Zack; 2 great grandchildren – Bella & Brayden and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. A Masonic, Shriner & Military service will be held in Minnesota at a later date.
