Obituary of Thelma Leona Wages

Mrs. Thelma Leona Cauthen Wages, age 90, a resident of Winter Haven, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022, at her home.  Mrs. Wages was born December 30, 1931, in Winter Haven to George Leonard and Lala Virginia (Bolton) Cauthen.  She was employed as an Automotive Title Clerk for many years, in addition to being a homemaker.  She enjoyed sewing and other fabric crafts and spending time with her family.  Mrs. Wages also enjoyed attending monthly luncheons with the “Forty Niners”.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Wilson Wages; brother, Victor Cauthen; and sisters, Florene Koen and Betty Cramer.  Thelma is survived by her loving family; daughters Sandy (Brian) Lastinger of Winter Haven and Karen (Bobby) Dotson of Auburndale; brother, Irvin Cauthen; sister, Mary Speer; grandsons Jason (Lynette) Lastinger and Robby (Brittany) Dotson; granddaughters Kristen (Cody Metzler) Dotson and Jenna (Charlie Hall) Lastinger and great-grandchildren, Kaden, Wesley, Haagen and Willow.

Visitation will be from 1–2:00pm followed by a memorial service on Saturday, April 9th at Kersey Funeral Home in Auburndale.  Interment will follow at Auburndale Cemetery.
