Obituary of David Carlton Mott

Mr. David Carlton Mott, age 67 a resident of Auburndale passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at his home surrounded by family. Mr. Mott was born February 23, 1954 in Winter Haven, Florida to Clarence Earl and Velma Jean (Collier) Mott. He was a lifetime Polk County resident and graduated from Auburndale High School Class of 1972. David was the Owner/Operator of Polk Air for 37 years before retiring. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Polk City where he volunteered on several committees. David enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson – Chase Daniel Mott; aunts and uncles. David is survived by his loving family, wife of 49 years – Brenda Mott of Auburndale; 2 sons – David A. (Jaime) Mott of Auburndale and Danny (Katina) Mott of Polk City; brother – Ronnie (Sheila) Mott of Lakeland; sister – Gail of Auburndale; aunt – Thelma Carter of Winter Haven; 5 grandchildren – Dustin, Aurianna (John), Connor, Austin and Alyssa; 2 great grandchildren – Alayana and Alivia. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, February 9th with visitation beginning at 10 bother at the First Baptist Church, 212 Hamolia Avenue, Polk City. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
