Obituary of Bobbie Jean Harper

Mrs. Bobbie Jean Crooms Harper, age 84 a resident of Auburndale passed away Friday, January 21, 2022 at Spring Lake Nursing Center surrounded by family. Mrs. Harper was born April 3, 1937 in Houston County, Alabama to Elbert and Nettie (Webb) Crooms. She was an Auburndale resident for over 60 years coming from Alabama and a homemaker. Bobbie and her husband were the Owners of Harper’s Meat Cutting Service in Auburndale for many, many years before retiring. Bobbie was a member of the Gateway Assembly of God Church in Auburndale. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, going to church and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband – Ralph Hayward Harper in 2016 and sister – Bonnie. Mrs. Harper is survived by her loving & devoted family, son – Dennis Harper and his wife Ellie of Auburndale; daughter – Susan Kay Adams of Auburndale; 4 grandchildren – Steven Harper and wife Victoria of Davie, Jonathan Harper of Auburndale, Megan Atkinson and husband Trevor of Winter Haven and Caitlyn Adams of Highland City. Visitation will be Friday, January 28th from 10-10:30 am at Kersey Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at Auburndale Memorial Park at 10:45 am.
