Mr. Putnel was a funny but stern family man. I can remember many times me and his son Lane staying up a little too late and him coming in there to straighten us up to tell us to go to bed. He always had a witty sense of humor (it was great to see him sneer, laugh, and call you out at times), but you could tell he was somebody you didn’t mess around with. I was fortunate enough to run into him a few times in Publix, and we would talk about old times, always a hard worker, and I can honestly say I looked up to him. As to Mrs. Janet, I can only say she was and is a wonderful lady, always sweet, kind to me and would do anything for her family. Wishing the family all the best in this time and just know that he is looking and smiling down upon you all. He will be missed.
