Obituary of Benny Charles Tucker

Mr. Benny Charles Tucker, age 72, a resident of Auburndale, Florida passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021 at his home surrounded by family. Mr. Tucker was born July 28, 1949 in Dothan, Alabama to Benjamin Franklin and Clara Catherine (Dykes) Tucker. He was a resident of Auburndale since 1991 coming from Clarksville, Tennessee. Benny was a retired Logistics & Technical Engineer for the United States Military. He was a United States Army Veteran (CW3) who served a total of 22 years (2 years in Vietnam, 10 years in Germany and 10 years in the United States). He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Polk City where he also served as a Deacon. Benny was a Published Author of several Christian books and also did Audio Sermons (Berkley Evangelistic Association.). He enjoyed his church, socializing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Benny is survived by his loving & devoted wife of 52 years – Gwenda Tucker; 2 daughters – Jennifer Skinner and her husband Kenny & Mary Newsom and her husband Robert; 3 brothers – Mike Tucker, Joel Tucker and John Tucker and his wife Nanette; sister – Audra Culbreth and her husband Troy; 2 stepsisters – Jeri Glover & Pat Ammons; 3 grandchildren – Shelby, Shawn & Brittany; 6 great grandchildren – Benjamin, Grayson, Lilly, Logan, Catherine & Nicholas. A celebration of Benny’s life will be held 11:00 am Saturday, December 4th at the First Baptist Church in Polk City, 212 Hamolia Avenue, Polk City.
