Carole, and family- I’m so sorry for your loss. David was part of what I enjoyed as a member of the Partridge Ave family. I have so many fond memories of time Stan and I were included in the Sunday family dinners. I still use the family cookbook that you and David lovingly put together. Your memories should give you and your family comfort. I will always remember David with a smile….

Mr. Gilberti was the best Principle the Cummings ever could have had. He made that school a home, and helped us students make so many wonderful memories. We will all remember him as the Cat in the Hat reading us books on Green Eggs and Ham day.

Mr Gilberti was my 6th grade teacher in 1985 at the Brown School! I remeber his love of poetry, we were always reading or reciting poetry. It always amazed me that he could recite them from memory. He was one of my favorite teachers!
We reconnected on Facebook and talked once on awhile. He is part of the reason I switched careers and started teaching.
Thank you Mr G! You will be missed!

Mr. Gilberti was my substitute teacher for most of my year in 3rd grade at the Tenney. I remember his morning work that I enjoyed; it definitely helped me be a better writer at that young age. Although I did have a hard time warming up to the fact we had a new teacher at first, I came to realize how genuine, loving, caring, and intelligent teacher and person he was. I remember just getting ready to pull in to school in the morning and seeing him walk back from what he didn’t know was his last day, with lollipops, that weren’t going to get the chance be opened by the class. I was so bummed but I knew I would bump in to him again one day. I’m sorry if this is long but I really want to write it all, because memories, you know?
The last time I saw Mr. Gilberti in person was when I was in maybe 5th grade, possibly before… seems forever ago. I knew he must have lived on that street I saw him walking towards. My mom and I drove, hoping we would knock on the right door, the first try. I was so relieved to see it was him answer the door. He knew exactly who I was and he introduced us to his sweet wife and let me look at some pictures around the first room.
It was always so nice to hear from him on facebook and seeing his posts, and comments on my moms stuff and always being supportive of me. It meant the absolute world to me, to have someone support you at a young age from afar, but always feeling their support and presence.
I will continue to keep him, his family, and friends in my thoughts. I truly will remember him forever. ❤️ Rest in peace

Carole and Family. I am so sorry to hear of David's passing. We worked in the Brown school together and 3 of my children had him for a teacher. Both in the Bingham and Brown schools. It was great following your family over the years and David following my family. David was a great teacher and comments I have seen over the years from his former students and my own son, have been still instilled in the minds of these young (and not so young) people.
He will be missed by many.
Love from Lorraine Mann and family
