Obituary of Lawrence Harold Adams

Mr. Lawrence Harold Adams, age 86 a resident of Auburndale passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 in Palm Harbor, Florida surrounded by family. Mr. Adams was born October 22, 1934 in Lawrence County, Kentucky to Dave and Delilah (Shannon) Adams. He and his wife were Polk County resident’s sine 1967 coming from Ohio. He was a retired School Science Teacher for several different schools in Polk County. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Auburndale, Church Usher, Church Trustee, Member of the Church Council, Member of the Men’s Church Group and past President of the Church SPRC. Lawrence was a past Member of the Elks Lodge, Umpire for men’s and women’s’ Softball in Florida and High School Baseball Umpire in Ohio. He was the Athletic Director in Ohio and Football Coach. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife – Ella Mae Adams; 4 brothers & 2 sisters. Lawrence is survived by his loving family, 2 sons – Larry Glen (Tina) Adams of Odessa, FL. and Brian Lee (Michelle) Adams of IN.; brother – Jody (Peggy) Adams of Mexico Beach, FL.; 2 sisters – Stella Pennington of Cattlesburg, KY. and Joy (Tom) Frazier of Berea, KY.; 6 grandchildren – Brian, Brittany, Lauran, Amanda, Garrett & Andrew and great grandchildren – Jonathan, Riley & Hagen. A memorial service will be held 10:30 am Saturday, September 11th at the First United Methodist Church, 316 Lake Ariana Blvd., Auburndale.
