Obituary of Sandra Kay Strickland

Mrs. Sandra Kay Strickland, age 68 a resident of Auburndale entered into Heaven on Thursday, August 19, 2021 surrounded by family. Mrs. Strickland was born February 10, 1953 in Lakeland, Florida to James Angelo and Mary Ellen (Criswell) Spruill. She graduated from Lakeland High School Class of 1971 and was a lifetime resident of Polk County. Sandra was a retired Accounts Payable Clerk of a Commercial Construction Company. She attended The Haven Church of God in Winter Haven with her family. She enjoyed cooking, antiques, collecting birds & angels, going on cruises with her husband and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother – Terry Spruill and father-in-law – William J. Strickland. Sandra is survived by her loving & devoted family, husband of 43 years – William “Ed” Strickland of Auburndale, FL.; son – Jason Strickland of Winter Haven, FL.; 2 daughters – Cynthia (Jason) Jones and Jennifer (Jeremiah) Richwine both of Auburndale, FL.; 2 sisters – Linda Tucker of West Point, GA. and Brenda “Sharon” Canady of Frostproof, FL.; mother-in-law – Minnie Strickland of Auburndale, FL. and 8 grandchildren – Breann, Alyssa, Austin, Anthony, Jeremiah Jr., Jacob, Mackenzie and Adilyn. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
