Obituary of Edith Migdalia Silva

Mrs. Edith "DALIA" Migdalia Silva, age 69 a resident of Auburndale, Florida passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at home surround by family. Mrs. Silva was born September 25, 1951 in Morovis, Puerto Rico to Candelario and Maria Del Carmen (Gracia) Cheverez. She was an Auburndale resident since 2016 coming from New Jersey. Edith was a Professional Latin/Latin Jazz Singer, singing and performing in major venues around the world (Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Madsen Square Gardens and in Europe) just to name a few. She was a member of SAG (Screen Actors. Guild). She enjoyed cooking, singing, being a wife, mother and grandmother. Edith and her husband Yolando met and fell in love while on tour, she sang and he played the drums. She was preceded in death by her parents; 5 brothers – Pedro, Raphael, Victor, Pablo & Pepe and 1 sister – Margarita. Edith is survived by her loving family, husband of 43 years Yolando Silva, Jr.; son – Benny Lope Vega and his wife Richelle; stepson – Jason Bryan Silva; 2 stepdaughters – Tammy Larson and Desiree Silva; 3 brothers – Jesus, Juan and Angel; 2 sisters – Irma and Gloria; 8 grandchildren – Tomas, Javier, Tyler, Taylor, Spencer, Silas, Alexandro and Isabella. A gathering of family & friends will be held Saturday, March 6th from 2:00 until 4:00 pm at Kersey Funeral Home, 108 Lake Stella Drive, Auburndale.
