Obituary of John Thomas Floyd

Mr. John Thomas Floyd, age 97 a resident of Auburndale passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at Good Shepherd Hospice Auburndale surrounded by family. Mr. Floyd was born October 27, 1923 in Cottonwood, Alabama to Rufus and Nadine Floyd. He was an Auburndale resident since the 1940’s coming from Alabama. J.T. was a retired Forklift Driver for Adams Packing after 52 years. He attended Central Assembly of God Church in Auburndale. J.T. enjoyed walking, his horses and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife – Opal; son – Shelby; 2 stepsons – Tully & Darrell; brother – Homer; sister – Hazel and grandson – Joel. J.T. is survived by his devoted daughter – Sharon Tribble of Auburndale; 4 grandchildren – Torry, Zachery, Trae & Shanna; 3 great grandchildren – Tully, III, Brianna & Sierra; several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. A funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday, January 29, 2021 at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
