Obituary of Abigail Valentin

Mrs. Abigail Valentin, age 81 a resident of Winter Haven passed away Monday, August 24, 2020 at Lakeland Regional with family. Mrs. Valentin was born July 25, 1939 in San Sabastian, Puerto Rico to Florencio and Hipolita (Perez) Cruz. She was a resident of the area since 2006 coming from Central Falls, Rhode Island. She attended church services at Lakeland Highlands Nursing Home where she was a resident. Abigail was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking, crafts and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter – Frances Morales; 2 sisters – Carmen & Benny and great grandson – Dylan Jacob Salmon. Abigail is survived by her loving family; husband Lorenzo Caraballo of RI.; 3 sons – Alfredo (Kay) Valentin of NY., Ralph Rodriguez of RI. and Nelson Lopez of CA.; 4 daughters – Myriam Lopez and Ivette Lopez both of RI., Norma Lopez of FL. and Maria (Luis) Fortes of Winter Haven; 4 brothers – Isaac, Gabriel, Inosencio & Chuco; 4 sisters – Paula, Rosa, Migdalia & Fifa; 17 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 12:00pm Monday, August 31st at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00am at the funeral home.
