Obituary of Vivian Bell Jones

Vivian "Vicky" Bell Jones, 80, passed away December 6th, 2019. She spent her entire life in Polk County, Fl.  She was born June 4th, 1939, to Bernard Haywood Bell and Dorothy Mae Mozley. She was one of seven children they were blessed with and she adored all her brothers and sisters. 

She met "Her Ed", Walter Edward "Ed" Jones, in 1968, and they were married July 18th, 1969.  They had two children, Elizabeth "Faye" Kenna nee' Jones, and Hugh Gordon Jones, and were devoted to each other and their children their entire lives.

They spent most of their marriage in the same home in the Winter Haven/Auburndale area. After her husband's passing in 1998 she continued to live in their family home until her health required her to relocate to her son's home in Bartow during the last year of her life.  She never remarried and we know their reunion in Heaven is a joyous one.

There is so much more we could write about her life, because she did so much with it, we would end up writing a book. She was a beloved wife, mother, MeMaw, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.  She had the strongest faith, the best laugh and the kindest view of all human beings and the world.  She was an avid reader and writer. She was a teacher and a student her entire life.  We mourn her loss in our life, but we know she has finally met her God and has been reunited with “Her Ed” and her loving family and friends.

The memorial service will be held at Kersey Funeral Home in Auburndale on Wednesday, December 11th, at 5 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, we ask that you be kind to each other, never take each other for granted and always tell each other you love them.
