My thoughts are with Wanda, Michael, Rhonda and R.L.’s grandchildren. My relationship with R.L. began after he married my cousin Wanda. I have known him as a husband, father, grandfather and as an avid sports fan. He loved his family and he loved sports. He also loved his country. I’m sorry I did not know him in his days as a star athlete. However even in his later years that athletic prowess was still visible on the golf course. In most of my interactions with R.L. I remember him as a family loving, solid citizen. His passions however could be aroused in discussions of sports and politics. In both of these areas he was passionate because he cared deeply about them and because he was thoughtful. It is so great that his most positive traits will live on in the lives of his five grandchildren that he loved so much.

Thinking of you and your family Wanda! I don't know if you remember me or not, but I worked with you at Sun Bank in the 80s.
Much love,
Larry Roark
