Obituary of Margy Elaine Singleton
Mrs. Margy Elaine Singleton, age 95 a resident of Auburndale, Florida for over 60 years, passed away Friday, September 6, 2019 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center with her family. Mrs. Singleton was born July 30, 1924 in Port St Joe, Florida to Robert and Ada (Hinson) McCoy. She was an Auburndale resident since 1945 coming from Plant City. Margy was a homemaker and a Founding Member of Lena Vista Baptist Church in Auburndale. Margy retired after 20 years of service from Western Auto in Auburndale and also retired from Lynn Green’s Hardware after 19 years of service. She volunteered for Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, volunteered at the Church Food Bank and read books on tape for the blind. Margy enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, embroidering and spending time with her family & friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband – Thomas Cecil Singleton; 2 sons – Robert Wendell Singleton and Thomas Dalton Singleton; her brothers & sisters. Margy is survived by; Daughter-in-Law: Heather Singleton of Plant City, Florida. Grandson: Hinson Brett Singleton of Plant City, Florida.Granddaughter: Stacey (Andrew) Whitman of Niangua, Missouri. Great Grandchildren: Madison and Spencer.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Lena Vista Baptist Church, 213 Florida Drive, Auburndale, Florida. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM at the church. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
