Obituary of Clara Joyce Smith Jones

Mrs. Clara Joyce Smith Jones, age 86 a resident of Auburndale passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Grace Manor Suites in Lakeland. Mrs. Jones was born October 25, 1932 in Cottonwood, Alabama to Robert Porter and Nancy Cornelia (McCoy) Smith. She was an Auburndale resident since 1964 coming from Safety Harbor & Tamp. Clara was a homemaker and a member of Lena Vista Baptist Church in Auburndale. She enjoyed needle point, puzzles and reading. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband – George Berry Jones in 2011; brothers; sisters; great granddaughter – Riley Grace and daughter-in-law – Peggy. Clara is survived by her loving family; 4 Sons: David (Laura) Jones of Lakeland, Bobby Jones of Auburndale, Michael Jones of Auburndale, Jeff (Cherie) Jones of Polk City, 4 Daughters:        Joyce (Rick) Williamson of Lakeland, Janet (Pat) Peterman of Lakeland, Sandy (Tim) Harper of Auburndale, Naomi (Steven) Carter of Chipley, 16 Grandchildren: Aaron, Adam, Jessica, Megan, Tiffany, Bo, Devin, Christopher, Brayton, Brandon, Scott, Shane, William, Stephanie, Richard and Jill, 14 Gt. Grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 4^th (tonight) from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Kersey Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be 10:00 am Wednesday, December 5^th at Auburndale Memorial Park.
