Obituary of Dilbert Clark

Mr. Dilbert Clark, age 94 a resident of Winter Haven, Florida passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at his home with family. Mr. Clark was born October 7, 1924 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a retired owner/operator of several rental real estate properties and a Winter Haven resident for the past 20 years coming from Lake Panasoffkee, Florida and Sebring, Florida. Dilbert was a United States Army Veteran Major while serving in the Battle of Normandy, (746th Tank Battalion), World War II and the Korean Conflict. He earned 1 Purple Heart w/Oak Leaf Cluster, 1 Purple Heart, 4 Bronze Stars, Korean Service Medal, Republic of Korea-Presidential Unit Citation, National Defense Service Medal and a United Nations Service Medal.  He attended church with his daughter at Heartland Church in Winter Haven. Dilbert enjoyed restoring old sports cars and being a cattle rancher. He was preceded in death by his wife – Gloria Lillian Clark in 2016; son – Danny Ray Clark in 1977; 2 brothers – Bernard Clark & Homer Clark and 1 sister – Doris Helen Mathewson.Dilbert is survived by his loving family;2 Daughters:         Kimberly (Randy) Pearce of Winter Haven, FL., Cheryl (Robert) Scott of St. Petersburg, FL., Son: Terry (Vicki) Clark of New Port Richey, FL., Sister:        Betty Lee Carter of Sedalia, MO., 4 Grandchildren:           Matthew (Molly) Pearce of Longwood, FL., Michael Pearce of Winter Haven, FL., Melanie (Tim) Wisecarver of N.C., Sara (Dan) Gill of Tampa, FL., 8 Gt. Gandchildren:    Malone, Mattox, Makai, Myles, Christie, Kyle, Jesse & Nora. Gt. Gt. Grandson: Koah

 

 

A graveside service will be 11:00 am Friday, November 30th at Auburndale Memorial Park, 1889 W. Derby Ave., Auburndale.
