Obituary of Barbara Jean King

WINTER HAVEN – Barbara Jean King, age 90, passed away on November 14, 2018 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.  She was born on October 16, 1928 in Galena, Kansas to Sherman & Mildred Clendening.  Barbara was a resident of Winter Haven and lived in the Polk County area for 57 years where she worked as a Corporate Tax Preparer.  She was a member of Inman Park Baptist Church and was involved in church choir, taught Sunday school, played the accordion and piano, and also enjoyed embroidery and reading.  She is preceded in death by; Husband: Dowell King, Sisters: Delores Hall & Jane Richey.  Barbara is survived by; Son: Darrell (Ruth) King, Grandchildren: Elizabeth King & Allyson (Adair) Daley, Great-Grandchild: Ellis Daley, all from Jacksonville, FL.
