Obituary of James Mark Liles, Sr.

Mr. James “Mark” Liles, Sr. age 58 a resident of Winter Haven passed away Friday, October 5, 2018 in Lakeland. Mr. Liles was born February 23, 1960 in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina to James William and Joyce Faye (Steele) Liles. His father was in the Military, so the family moved often then in 1968 Mark settled in Polk County, he also served in the military. Mark graduated from Bartow High School and then went onto receive his Electrician’s Certificate. He worked for CDEC (Control Design Electric Contractor) for the past 21 years. Mark enjoyed astronomy, video games and was an avid reader. He volunteered for the Winter Haven Toys for Tots program for many years. He was preceded in death by his mother – Joyce Liles. Mark is survived by his loving son – Jimmy (Adele) Liles of Virginia Beach, Virginia and his father – James William Liles of Winter Haven. A gathering of family & friends will be Thursday, October 11th from 3:00 until 5:00 pm at Kersey Funeral Home.
