Obituary of Jared Alan Shirey

Mr. Jared Alan Shirey, age 27 a lifetime Polk County resident passed away Tues. Sept. 11, 2018 at Winter Haven Hospital with his family at his side. Jared was born 4/28/91 in Bartow to Gregory Allen and Elisha Melindy (Jernigan) Shirey. He graduated from Auburndale High School Class of 2011, was an avid gamer, enjoyed watching wrestling and attended Berea Baptist Church in Auburndale.  Jared is survived by his loving family; Father: Gregory & Edda Shirey, Mother:Elisha & Micheal Allen, Stepmom: Militza (Thomas) Torres, 3 Sisters: Ashley (Michael) Wallace,Iris (Travis) Martinez,Tiffany (Jimmy) Allen, Paternal Grandmother:  Mildred Herbert, Paternal Grandfather:   Hilbert (Karen) Shirey, Paternal Great Grandmother:  Lessie Shirey, Maternal, and parents:  Billy Ray & Edith Johnsey, Nephew: Cooper, Niece: Kendall.

A funeral service will be 3:30 pm Sat. Sept. 15th at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 2:30 pm.
