Obituary of Zonna P. Brown

Mrs. Zonna P. Brown, age 79 a resident of Auburndale, Florida entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 17, 2018 with her family by her side. Mrs. Brown was born December 17, 1938 in West Palm Beach, Florida to Delizon Earle and Marion Eloise (Jurney) Patterson. She was an Auburndale resident since 1988 coming from West Palm Beach, Florida. She graduated from Palm Beach High School, worked in the Civil Office for the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department retired after 20 years from the Palm Beach County Animal Control Department and retired after 10 years with Disney World Orlando in the Transportation Department. She was of the Protestant faith. She loved life, traveling, music, GATOR football, baking and being an incredible wife, mother, sister, grandmother & friend. Zonna was a ray of sunshine to her family and to anyone that crossed her path. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister – Mimi Lambert. Zonna is survived by her loving & devoted family; Husband of 44 years:   Charles Brown of Auburndale, Florida; Son, William W. (Leslie) Wilson of Boynton Beach, Florida; Daughter, Dana K. Waldman of Boca Raton, Florida; Stepdaughter,  Teri L. Brown of Reno, Nevada; Brother, Michael A. (Cyd) Patterson of Savannah, Georgia; 9 Grandchildren: Beau (Haley) Wilson of Gainesville, Florida, Cody M. Wilson of Palm City, Florida, Rebecca L. Wilson of Boynton Beach, Florida, Jamie L. (Mark) Olegario of Boca Raton, Florida, Jared D. Dorfman of Boynton Beach, Florida, Justin R. (Daniella) Dorfman of Ft. Myers, Florida, Matthew (Ariel) McKinney of Carson City, Nevada, Nathan McKinney of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Zachary Hanham of Reno, Nevada. 6 Great Grandchildren: MJ, Luca, Emilia, Korben, Jaxon and Jameson. 6 Feline Fur babies.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Zonna’s name to the Humane Society of Polk County, 3195 Dundee Road, Winter Haven, Florida 33881.

A celebration of life service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 25th at Kersey Funeral Home, 108 East Lake Stella Drive, Auburndale, Florida 33823.
