Obituary of Hazel Virginia Gunnels

Mrs. Hazel Virginia Gunnels, age 93 a resident of Auburndale passed away Sat. June 9, 2018 at her home with family. Mrs. Gunnels was born Feb. 26, 1925 in Campbellton, FL. to Fletcher and Lilla (Christmas) Deese. She was a Polk Co. resident since 1948 coming from GA. She was a sectionizer for Adams Packing and a member of the 34th Street Church of God in Winter Haven. Hazel enjoyed reading, fishing, cooking and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband – Joseph Dewey Gunnels; daughter – Brenda Joan Gunnels; brothers and sister.Hazel is survived by her loving family;Son: Wayne (Lynn) Donn of Auburndale, 3 Daughters: Linda Wiggins of Russell Springs, KY., Ginger (Tom) Majors of Pensacola, Alisa (Arness) Brown of Whittier, NC, 2 Sisters: Sara (Neil) Malphurs of Suwannee, FL.,   Wynell Merritt of Auburndale, 11 Grandchildren, 14 Gt. Grandchildren, 1 Gt. Gt. Grandchild.
