Obituary of Lola Marie Dawson

Mrs. Lola Marie Dawson, age 94 a resident of Auburndale passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Astoria Health in Winter Haven with her family by her side. Mrs. Dawson was born March 23, 1923 in Florence Villa, FL. To William Rufus and Neva Vada (Denton) Norman. She was a lifetime Polk Co. resident, member of Berea Baptist Church in Auburndale and member of the Auburndale Order of the Eastern Star Chapter. Mrs. Dawson retired after 21 years of service as a Cafeteria Prep Cook for Westwood Middle School. Lola was a Sunday school teacher and involved in many areas of the church. She would always say I'm a minister's wife and mother first. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband - Reverend James P. Dawson; son - James David Dawson and sister - Aunt Rose. Lola is survived by her loving & devoted family; Son: Michael (Claudia) Dawson of Auburndale 2 Daughters: Gwen (Larry) Brinkley of Lakeland Carolyn (Andrew) Snyder of Lake Wales 7 Grandchildren: Chuck, Ginger, Scarlet, Lucrecia, Patrick, Bryan & Cariann 11 Gt.
