Obituary of Raymond Dean Hunt
After a long battle with cancer and heart disease, Ray passed on to his heavenly father on November 30th, 2017. He was an amazing man, truly driven to achieve seemingly impossible goals. He was a loving husband and father, leaving us with memories and experiences that read like a fictional novel. He received a Bachelors degree in Aeronautical Engineering, a Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering, a P.H.D. in Human Physiology, and a Post- Doctorate degree in Biophysics and Engineering. He served in the war in Viet Nam as a Captain in the United States Air Force. He was a jet pilot and a Forward air controller in Laos during the conflict. He earned a contractors license upon returning from the war and built a home for his family in Winter Haven Florida. He then became an Educator in Polk County where he taught for 23 years before retiring. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Nancy, his children Dean (Debi), Teri , his grandchildren Cannon, Caysi, Ali-Rae, and Callan and his large, loving, extended family. We will celebrate Rays life at Kerseys Funeral Home in Auburndale, Florida on Saturday December 9th at 3:30 P.M. Please donate to the American Cancer Foundation in lieu of sending flowers.
