Obituary of Larry Strickland

Larry Strickland Sr., age 68, passed away on January 11, 2018 in Lakeland, Florida. He was born on June 9, 1949 in Douglas, Georgia to Willie & Mildred Strickland. He was a military veteran where he had served in the Air Force. Larry was a Polk County resident for 65 years coming from Georgia. He was a truck driver for 27 years and also attended Wayfare Primitive Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by: his parents, brother, and two uncles. Larry is survived by his wife of over 30 years: Selina Strickland, Four Sons: Larry (Michelle) Strickland Jr. of Auburndale, FL, Scott Strickland of New Orleans, LA, Darren (Jennifer) Strickland of Jacksonville, FL, and Josh (Tiffany) Strickland of Bartow, FL. Six Grandchildren: Victoria, Breanna, Jenna, Alexis, Brooke and Cole. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donation be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Larry's name.
