Obituary of Larry Long

BARTOW - Mr. Larry Long, age 58 a resident of Bartow, Florida passed away Sunday, January 11, 2009 at his residence with family at his side due to cancer.Mr. Long was born October 12, 1950 in Dothan, Alabama to Raymond Porter and Maxine (White) Long. Mr. Long was a Heavy Equipment Operator for the Mines, loved to fish, go boating and football. Larry was am Army Veteran serving in Vietnam with the 82nd Airborne. He was preceded in death by his parents. Larry is survived by his loving family: wife of 20 years, Dorinda Long of Bartow,FL, 3 sons: Bryant (Kristen) Long of Erie, PA., Stuart Long of Cocoa Beach, FL., Mitchell (Carrie) Long of Winter Haven, FL., 1 stepson: Kevin (Melissa) Glave of Hampton, VA., 1 brother: Billy Ray (Kathy) Long of Loxley, AL., 2 siters: Delories (Jimmy) Posey of Ashford, AL., Pam Long of Dothan, AL., 1 stepsister: Susie (Rodney) Pybus of Navarre, FL., 7 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 16, 2009 at the Kersey Funeral Home with Interment to follow at Lakeside Memorial Park. Visitation will be held (before service) Friday, January 16, 2009 from 10:00 till 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
